Crack Open the Celebration – 200 Million Hens Call Our NATURA® Systems ‘Home’

Setting a worldwide aviary record with our NATURA® cage-free systems

Not too long ago, Big Dutchman celebrated a major aviary milestone: 100 million birds placed in our NATURA® systems worldwide. Only five years later, we achieved our next major milestone with NATURA®: 200 million bird placements.

Regulatory standards, along with consumer sentiments, have been quickly changing over the years, driving a growing demand for the transition from conventional to cage-free egg production. That’s why Big Dutchman developed the NATURA® cage-free aviary lineup to help producers stay ahead of the curve and lead the way in animal-friendly egg production.

We’re thrilled to announce that the 200 million milestone was reached here in North America at Forsman Farms. The barn was equipped with the NATURA® Step, a popular NATURA® system, thanks to its focus on easy bird movement, welfare, and consistent egg quality. This accomplishment is a testament to the trust our customers place in NATURA® and the long-term performance these systems deliver.

The milestone was unveiled at this year’s International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE), where we recognized the farmer who helped us cross this threshold with a small reception that followed.
